The first project features a 14″ wood round from Hobby Lobby, priced at just $2.50. This cheerful door hanger combines a beautiful bow, colorful fairy lights, and a “Merry & Bright” sign from Dollar Tree.
Materials Needed:
- 14″ Wood Round from Hobby Lobby: $2.50 (you can buy a pack of three when they are are on sale)
- Ribbon For A Bow: $0.50
- Colorful Fairy Lights: $3.50
- “Merry & Bright” Sign from Dollar Tree: $1.50
- Floral Picks: $1.75
Instructions:
- Begin by attaching the “Merry & Bright” sign to the center of the wood round using adhesive.
- Wrap the colorful fairy lights around the wood round, securing them in place with glue.
- Add the beautiful bow and floral picks at the top to complete the look.
- Hang it on your door and let it shine bright!

Winter Wonderland with Wooden Trees
Our second design transforms a 14″ wood round into a winter wonderland with a light green moss-colored background and charming wooden trees.

Materials Needed:
- 14″ Wood Round from Hobby Lobby: $2.50
- Rope: $1.00
- Light Green Moss Colored Paint: $0.25
- White Paint (for snow dots): $0.25
- Wooden Trees from Hobby Lobby: $2.50
- Chunky Wood Letters: $2.49
- Adhesive/Glue: $0.50
Instructions:
- Paint the wood round with the light green moss color and add white dots to resemble snow.
- Glue nautical rope around the edge.
- Attach the wooden trees to the center of the sign.
- Position the chunky wood letters to spell “Merry” at the top and “Christmas” at the bottom.
- Let it dry and hang it up for a snowy, festive feel.

True Story with Nativity
For a touch of elegance, the third project uses an 18″ wood round stained brown, accented with beautiful greenery and a nativity-themed decal. This project did cost a little more because an 18″ wood round was used instead of a 14″, but it can certainly be made with a 14″ and using smaller floral picks, saving you money.

Materials Needed:
- 18″ Wood Round: $7.00
- Stain: $0.75 (this is a watered down acrylic paint mixture)
- Black Paint: $0.75
- Greenery and Berry Picks: $7.00
- Burlap and Cream-Colored Ribbons: $1.50

Instructions:
- Stain the wood round brown and paint a black stripe across the middle.
- Attach the greenery and berry picks at the top.
- Create a bow using the burlap and cream-colored ribbons and add it to the top.
- Place the “True Story” vinyl decal in the center, with the “o” as a nativity scene.
- Display this elegant piece proudly on your door.
